Chinyere Johnson has excelled since moving to Canada. She continued her career in construction at EllisDon as an Assistant Project Manager where she worked for just over a year since her emigration from Trinidad however, she quickly outgrew that role and accepted the opportunity with Deloitte in her current role as manager of infrastructure and Capital Projects. Her hard work, dedication and multifaceted skill set has set her apart from her peers and facilitated her quick rise. As a highly skilled construction professional coming into a new market, she needed some guidance and encouragement to help understand this space and chart her path. Taking her mentors advice and advice from others, she has already broken through glass ceilings.

Through training and development Noelondo has significantly increased the number of certifications needed to set him on track to becoming a well-rounded journeyperson. He has garnered positive attention from his superior as well as clients making him one of the top requested new hires. The attitude and attributes of this individual allowed him the opportunity to supervise a crew. Although Tyriq was still a pre-apprentice, the company where he worked had enough confidence in him to assign him 1st term work. He has since completed his pre apprenticeship and is well underway into his 1st term of apprenticeship. Tyriq give backs. He often refers young people he knows who are in interested in the trades and has spoken to them at outreach events. He continues to be a great example on and off the job.
