David Galvin, Labour Relations Manager for Crosslinx Transit Solutions, has led efforts to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion into the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project. He developed a Community Benefits and Liaison Plan that led to the hiring of over 424 individuals from equity deserving groups, including 202 apprentices and 222 in technical, administrative, and professional roles. David partnered with unions like LiUNA Local 506 to recruit from underrepresented neighborhoods and support training and retention. His mentorship and advocacy have helped many participants build lasting careers in construction, with impact extending to the Ontario Line and Hurontario LRT. David has built strong community partnerships, fostered cultural change within CTS, and serves as a role model for inclusive labor practices.
